ABOUT THE TEAM

Calne FC was formed from the merger of White Horse Juniors FC and AFC Calne in the summer of 2009. The club will provide a focal point for boys and girls in Calne and the surrounding areas to extend their football skills and test them against other local sides. Calne FC offers football to all children in the age range from under 5/6’s up to U18's.

Calne FC has a membership of over 200 boys and girls with a supporting crew of friends and family.

We have a policy of ensuring that all children, irrespective of ability, will have the opportunity to join the club and play for a team in their age group. Parents, friends and family are encouraged to participate within the club and we are always looking for future potential managers. Any suitable candidates will be put through training for their FA Coaching Badges.

Our teams play in the North Wiltshire and Mid Wiltshire Leagues. They are coached by our team of managers, all of whom are required to hold minimum FA Level 1 certification, which covers coaching, child protection and emergency aid. Some of our managers have achieved FA Level 2 qualifications. All managers and any helpers are required to attend the FA child protection course and to be checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

Calne FC is a F.A. Chartered Standard Club and is aiming towards the next stage, Development Status. We play at brand new facilities at Beversbrook Sports Facility in Calne which officially opened on 11th July 2009.

We maintain a strong interest in football during the off season by entering tournaments in and around Wiltshire. We also run our own tournament which is held at Beversbrook in July every year.

We are always looking for new recruits in all age groups. Please contact the team manager for your age group which can be found under the club documents section of this website.

Please browse our website to find out more information about the club. For more information please contact the Secretary, Steve Bates, on 01249 817837or e-mail batessr3@aol.com.
