A great start to the season today for FC Calne U10A, made all the better by a very well mannered ,fun orientated team from Stratton Youth.
The result of 9 - 1 does not justify the hard work of the Stratton Youth side, they played as a team stopping many of the Calne sides attacks, the first half goal keeper for Stratton Youth performed some great shot stopping saves and was the man of the match for Stratton Youth.
The goal for stratton Youth was scored by Jacob Daniels (7mins).
The Calne performance was all the better by two new players, Callum Nicholson and Matthew Parke starting the game with Callum scroring his first goal for the side and Matthew working hard in defence.
It was good to see the boys put into practise what we have been working on in training for the last couple of weeks. The team in the second half was switched so the defence went into attack and the attacking players went into defence.
